Lemon Plum Compote
This compote is delicious served with your favourite roast pork or chicken. It also has just enough sweetness to enjoy on its own with aged cheddar on your next cheese platter.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Ripe Prunes or Black Plums, chopped
- 4 slices Lemon finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Dry Red Wine
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan stir together plums, lemon, wine, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 10 minutes or until plums are very soft.
