All about Brussels Sprouts
We love Brussels sprouts! Besides being delicious, they are so fun to eat! Perfectly sized, Brussels sprouts are a great addition as a side for holiday meals, or shredded as an addition to salads. When selecting Brussels sprouts look for firm, compact, fresh, bright green heads in uniform size (to make cooking time easy). Covered (unwashed) Brussels sprouts will last for up to five days in the refrigerator. To prepare, simply rinse and trim stem ends.
Here are some of our favourite Brussels sprouts recipes:
Apple Bacon Brussel Sprouts. This combination is so addictive you’ll want to make it for every family gathering. Tender Brussel sprouts absorb the smoky bacon flavour and have a hint of sweetness from the apple-a great marriage to pair with any roast.
Festive Brussels Sprouts Slaw from Beetific Beginnings. This coleslaw is the perfect meal to balance all those holiday sweets!
Roasted Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad from The Endless Meal. This absolutely delicious salad is topped with crispy cheesy chickpeas.
