As you all know, we have a serious love affair with beets. They are delicious, nutritious, and add a depth of flavour to all types of meals. Beets are in season from July right through to the end of the year, so they’re easy on your wallet too! To celebrate our delicious vegetable of the month, we’ve collected our favorite beet recipes for you to try.

Roasted Beet Dip and Golden Beet Chips

The awesome colour of beets shine through in this easy and tasty dip. Serve it up with vegetable or delicious beet chips for added crunch. Beet DipSpread it on your sandwiches for extra fibre and big flavour.

Ontario Borscht via Foodland Ontario

This classic whole-meal soup is a real celebration of Ontario’s vegetable harvest. For a true vegan version, you can use oil instead of butter and skip the sour cream garnish. Speed up the chopping and shredding time by using a food processor.

Roast Beet Salad with Orange and Feta

Colourful and perfect to take on your next family gathering, this salad has sweet, salty and peppery all in one dish. Pack the dressing separately and then drizzle over the salad just before serving.
